Melissa Clark-Reynolds

Jacob and his team have been working with me on my garden for a couple of years.  I live at the very top of Mt Victoria on a pretty small, almost vertical section.  They have transformed my "scrubby clay bank" into an organic pollinator garden filled with flowers.  They have lugged compost, distributed sheep pellets, spread cacao husks (my garden smelled amazing) and helped me to break up the clay and develop the soil.

What was agapanthus, tradescantia and convolvulus is now filled with fruit trees and colour.  I have had cut flowers in the house for months, with something different to cut and put in vases through the seasons (sweet peas, roses, dahlias, salvias, lilies, daphne, achillea, alstroemeria).

My vegetable garden has put out peas, asparagus, tomatoes, broad beans, spinach, silverbeet, beets, mesclun, globe and jerusalem artichokes and a myriad of herbs.  I love edible flowers and we now have those all year round: cornflowers, nasturtiums, 5 colours of calendula, sweet william, borage, rocket flowers, wild garlic, pineapple sage and more.

I'm excited about what is next - we're currently planting tulips and spring flowers.  It has been a joy to have Jacob and his team work with me, they have given me great advice (and done the hard work) and I look forward to working with them some more.

From the Roots with Jacob Milner has been looking after our garden for the last 2 years. We have a section of about 1500 sq. m. with trees, shrubs, hedges, flaxes, natives and exotics.

We have found Jacob very obliging and knowledgeable. He has been helpful with advice at on-site meetings and is proactive in coming up with ideas to improve the garden.

He has cleared parts of our garden, pruned trees, cut hedges, weeded, thinned plants and transplanted others. He has also attended to pest control. He takes away all the green waste and leaves everything very tidy.

He has advised on plantings and obtained plants for us at a reasonable price.

He is very pleasant to deal with. We recommend him highly.

Jacob Milner recently completed some work for us around our property including some very challenging hedges. I can say I would highly recommend him for any job, he did a fantastic job for us and we are so pleased with the end result.

Jacob was very thorough and works to a meticulous level that is very impressive. His eye for perfection really makes a difference.

Jacob works very hard and has a very professional manner. I would not hesitate to use him again

I engaged the services of Jacob Milner to tidy our overgrown section. It was a real mess after being neglected for the best part of a year and I wanted it tidied up enough to be presentable.

Jacob was very easy to deal with. He provided an estimate up-front of the amount of work required which turned out to be very accurate, and agreed to split the work into four sessions to suit our circumstances. I was amazed at the results Jacob was able to achieve in such a short space of time. After each session the difference was dramatic and I wished I had taken before and after photos.

Aside from weeding and spraying, Jacob also cleared a huge amount of overgrown vegetation and made recommendations on which plants were best to remove or keep. It’s now a month since Jacob’s last session and I’m still impressed at how tidy our section is looking.

I would not hesitate to recommend Jacob to others and wish him all the best for the future.
